Presentation

The Ilnu Museum of Mashteuiatsh is a place for the preservation and transmission of the culture of the Pekuakamiulnuatsh (Ilnu of Lac Saint-Jean) and the First Nations of Quebec. Come discover fascinating activities and exhibitions, in addition to meeting dedicated people who are committed to promoting and sharing this culture. The Museum offers three exhibitions during the summer period in addition to offering a walk in the outdoor Nuhtshimihtsh (In the Forest) site. Accompanied by a guide, visitors will learn how the Pekuakamiulnuatsh have adapted to their environment over the centuries. Several summer activities take place there: cultural activities, artistic activities, tasting of bannock (bread) and herbal teas from the boreal forest.
