Built between 1887 and 1892, the Joliette Cathedral is a traditional Catholic place of worship that houses a number of treasures, including several paintings. The fourteen stations of the way of the Cross were painted by Mascouche artist Georges Delfosse, while the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary and eight Gospel scenes, completed in 1893-94, were Ozias Leduc’s first commission for religious paintings.
Joliette Cathedral is also of heritage interest for its historical and architectural value.
