The Catholic parish of La Nativité de la Sainte-Vierge is located on the territory of the towns of La Prairie, Candiac, Saint-Philippe and Saint-Mathieu. In 2004, five parishes were united to form the current parish: La Nativité de la Sainte-Vierge, Saint-Philippe, Saint-Mathieu, Christ-Roi and Saint-Marc de Candiac.
